I've owned my MacBook Pro for 2 years now and love it. Love it. But this year alone I've had to pay for a new battery because mine started bulging and now my motherboard has fried! Apple want £800 to replace it after I spent £150 for an authorised retailer to tell me that Apple would want £800 to replace it. I don't have AppleCare! Sigh.
Now I love Steve Jobs, probably more than I love my son, but honestly this is ridiculous. I am officially Mac-less.
Last week my incredibly old 23" Apple cinema display that I rescued from a skip went down the pan too. My friends have all told me to buy a Dell but I cant do it because I cannot get on with OS - I love OSX too much.
"Well just buy a new machine then Matt!" is the response I get. But there's the rub - I cannot afford to buy another machine at the moment so with cap in hand I've had to go back to working on my 6 year old Dell inspiron laptop. It's slower than my grans driving.
This is where I need YOUR help.

I'm going to get scoffs and naysayers but if I can get 50 people to sign to a free Lovefilm trial offer I get enough credits to get a 24" iMac.
I need people to go here and complete the Lovefilm 2 week trial DVD offer. If you don't like it you're under no obligation to continue but I don't think you'll have a problem with it.
There are other things you can complete on that site but this is totally free. You're not going to get spam email from and it's totally legitimate.
For those that do sign up and complete an offer I am going to enter you into a draw to win an iPod nano. That's a 1in 50 chance of winning for signing up for a free offer.
So for those of you still reading at this point please click here to be taken to the freebiejeebies site, sign up and complete the offer. If afterwards you feel that it's a good idea you can even refer people to help get yourself free gifts.

I've got a newborn son, Elliott who, lovely as he is, tends to use up every last penny I have. I had no idea how much these things cost; they need clothes, play equipment, prams, travel cots, food, specialist food producing equipment, nappies, more clothes because the ones you bought last week don't fit, more toys because they're bored easily and shoes.
Having him also means that I can't do freelance work in the evenings as I have to read him stories, feed him and put him to bed. Once that's all done, after a days work I'm exhausted. Not that I'm bemoaning the fact that I have a son, it's wonderful, it's just that having him means I don't have anywhere near the money I used to. Couple that with the fact that I have a wife that isn't working and that's halved our income and doubled our expenditure.

My wife and I bought a house coming up to two years ago. We bought literally the day before the market crashed here in the uk. To say we're gutted is an understatement. The only property we could afford was an old council house that was in dire need of repair inside. "Yay" we thought, we've watched enough grand designs and property ladder to know that this would be a doddle.
Nearly two years later the bathroom ceiling still has holes in it, the draft we get through the window sills during the winter chills my beers right down and the crack in Elliott's nursery wall is wide enough to make us worry about the foundations.
So if we have any money left after the little blighter has finished eating (what a liberty) it get's spent on making the house habitable. Our nearest DIY store is Focus and they seem to see me coming every time I walk in. I should have taken out a loyalty card!
My name is Matt and I live in the UK outside of Brighton with my wife Samantha, my son Elliott and two cats Charlie and Alan. I've been a web designer for the past 8 years and work from my home office using a MacBook Pro Dell Inspiron laptop.
I could work on a PC, of course I could but it's just not easy for me. It's not easy, it's not intuitive and mostly it's not beautiful. I spend more time looking at a computer screen than I do my son or wife at the moment and if I have to do that (which I do until my son is old enough to get on Britain's got talent and I can retire) I want it to be on a thing of beauty.
I started this site because I need to get myself a new computer but simply don't have the funds to do so. I'm not trying to con anyone, people can sign up or not. Freebiejeebies is a legitimate site, but no amount of words are going to convince you otherwise. You can check out the goings on by visiting eXceem forums where there are plenty of people who can vouch for it.
